Drive Safe, Arrive Safe Working Group
The aim is to support employees to be Zero Harm drivers, by focusing on Driver Behaviour and Awareness, The Journey and Vehicle Safety.
Some of the Key Achievements to date are:
• Creation of E-Learning Course, Driver Risk Index and Zero Harm Survey to help driver awareness
• Driver Incentive Scheme to encourage commitment to the Drive Safe, Arrive Safe message
• Implementation of Driver Licence checking for all Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services employees
• Creation of a Driver Miser Scheme – monitoring fuel usage
• Investigation and Development of Vehicle Telematics monitoring Driver Behaviour
• Development of ‘It’s Your Call’ Campaign encouraging personal commitment to change behaviours
