Product Innovation winner the Ecolootion
Construction News - Product Innovation winner the Lo-Loc - July 2011The Innovations Team were awarded Highly Commended Status for their Lo-Loc in the Production Innovation category during the Construction News Awards in July 2011. The Lo-Loc product is aimed at all industries that require the lifting of equipment/objects that would otherwise require the use of a ladder to access the lifting points thus eliminating working at height.
Fleet Safety Forum Awards - June 2011
Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services enjoyed an exceptional night at the awards scooping overall winner for Fleet Safety Analysis & Action Award and being highly commended in a further two categories - Company Driver Safety Award and Road Safety in the Community.
Constructing Excellence Awards - October 2011
The Innovations Team's Lo-Loc was chosen as one of the "Judges Top Two" innovations in the Innovations Business Category at the Constructing Excellence Awards in October 2011.
RoSPA Awards - Management of Occupational Health & Safety - July 2011
Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services were awarded the Gold Award after achieving a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Builder & Engineer Awards - Product Innovation of the Year - October 2011
On behalf of Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services, Eric Renfrew - Key Account Manager received the Product Innovation of the Year award for the Ecolootion signifying the importance of new cabin business design and technology.
CIWM Environmental Excellence Awards - October 2011
The 5th annual CIWM Awards for Environmental Excellence took place on Thursday 10th November at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, London. The event was hosted by comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan. Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services is proud to have received the Sustainable Product Development of the Year for the Ecolootion.
Midlands Excellence Award Specialist Category Awards – February 2011
The Driver Risk Management Team picked up the Specialist Category Learning & Development Award for their work in Driver Development & Training at these prestigious awards – the largest of their kind in Europe.
Prince Michael International Road Safety Award – December 2010
The Driver Risk Management Team won this prestigious award for their initiatives to reduce road accidents within Balfour Beatty. The Awards recognise achievements and innovations that improve road safety, with the most outstanding examples given public recognition.
Green Apple Innovations Award – November 2010
We scooped a Green Apple Award in the Innovations Category with our innovative Ecolootion Cabin. We worked with our suppliers Genquip/Groundhog who have designed, developed and are now producing what is now the most environmentally friendly welfare unit in the industry.
Brake’s Fleet Safety Forum Road Safety in the Community Award – July 2010
In order to achieve Zero Harm, and as a fleet provider we realize the importance of getting involved with the local community as much as possible to improve road safety. We have undertaken various activities in the past year including, Road Safety Week, Beep! Beep! Days and Drive Safe, Arrive Safe Evenings. RoSPA Gold Award for the Management of Occupational Road Risk - June 2010
The Gold RoSPA MORR Award was presented to our Professional Services Team which is a testament to their dedication to safer driving across our business. The award follows the principles of the RoSPA National Safe Driving Awards Scheme these awards are judged on verifiable historical performance data of accidents and the identification of an effective, cohesive corporate road risk management programme.
RoSPA Silver Award for Occupational Health and Safety - June 2010
This award is for the most outstanding performance in health and safety by a company or organisation within a particular industry or sector. We were required to demonstrate our robust and high quality safety management system together with a minimum of four years' consistently excellent or continuously improving health and safety performance.
