As a business we take an active part in local schools through supporting initiatives aimed at giving pupils exposure to the working environment, and the skills they will need when they leave school and begin looking for work. This includes workshops on Interview Technique and CV Writing where manager’s and members of the Human Resources department offer their experience, to involvement in a local Industry Day where different employees from within the business are encouraged to take part in a full day at a local school running a workshop based on what the business does.

Apprentices

We look to recruit Apprentices into the business in a wide range of disciplines such as Business Administration, Engineering and Motor Vehicle Technicians. Whilst we try to recruit apprentices into the business to match the beginning of college courses at the start of September, we also have Apprenticeship vacancies throughout the year. Graduates

We have a successful Graduate scheme which sees individuals come through the programme having been exposed to a broad range of business experiences, rotating through a variety of placements lasting between 3 and 6 months over a 2 year period. We currently look to recruit between 2 and 3 graduates every year on to our programme, and successful applicants get the opportunity to be involved in the Balfour Beatty Group graduate scheme which includes a range of development opportunities.
