Balfour Beatty support St Helena Hospice

Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services along with Balfour Beatty Rail recently supported the St Helena Hospice’s charity Midnight Walk for the second year running by providing equipment for this women-only event that saw 2,500 ladies walk through Colchester in aid of the St Helena Hospice’s work in the local community.
Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services provided safety barriers, lighting and the all important Portaloos along the length of the route. The Renewals team from Balfour Beatty Rail provided high-visibility vests for the support staff and volunteers along the route as well as loaning vehicles to the project team. The Midnight Walk started and finished at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the home of Colchester United and walkers followed a circular route of 12km (7.5 miles).
This year we have joined forces with Balfour Beatty Rail which has enabled us to surpass the level of support we offered last year and hope that we have beaten last years figure raised for this worthwhile cause.
