NEW PLANT AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE

This brand new training course has been developed by our Professional Services Team in order to achieve Zero Harm by 2012. Originated from our Safe Lifts, Safe Zone Fatal Task Working Group, it has been highlighted that there is a need to heighten awareness of plant machinery and equipment to all personnel on sites.
The course is aimed at personnel on sites that work with or in the proximity of Plant Machinery and Equipment and gives them an appreciation of the dangers associated with such equipment.
Location
The course can be delivered nationwide and we are able to visit any site in the UK.
Duration
This is a full day interactive course.
Content of Course
Theory - half a day in the classroom:
• Legal requirements
• Vehicle/Plant people segregation
• Identifying hazards on site and reporting hazards
• Plant Blind Spots
• Site Visitors
• Banking of Plant and Vehicles
• Accidents
Practical - half a day on site:
• Hazard spotting
• Vehicle/Plant and people segregation
• Practical demonstrations with Plant Machinery
• Signing and Guarding of work areas
• Crush Zones on Plant Machinery
• Correct way to approach Plant Machinery
• Communication
• Mobile phones
